TrackRak is a woman-owned, small-scale project run out of my home. It started as a side gig to help everyday people — like me — maximize savings on the things they’re already spending money on. I noticed that existing Rakuten alert tools were often overwhelming or poorly designed, so I teamed up with a part-time developer to create a simple, straightforward tool that puts users first and helps them stay on top of deals with real-time Rakuten alerts.

Our website is a platform that tracks Rakuten cash back and/or percentages and sends email and/or text/SMS alerts to users based on their set parameters.
Our tracking system monitors Rakuten mutiple times per day for cash back percentages and alerts users via email or text/SMS. Users can customize their preferences to receive alerts for specific stores or cash back thresholds. Please note that these results are only applicable for desktop users and may not reflect mobile, targeted or in-store offers (those features are coming soon!). Mobile, targeted and in-store offers may differ from desktop offers.

Our PREMIUM plan is $6.99/month for UNLIMITED alerts, includes our proprietary 3-Year* Reward Suggestion box and historical Smart Charts™, and gives you access to the Top 20 Daily Deals. This plan also includes our Rakuten In-Store Offer browser extension.
Finally, our ANNUAL plan includes all the same features as Premium for just $60 per year — our best overall value!

Rakuten cash back rates can vary based on several factors, including:
- Purchase type or category
- Promotions or limited-time offers
- Offer structure (% vs fixed $ amount)
- User-specific incentives or targeted offers
In some cases, a store may offer multiple cashback options at the same time (for example, a % back for one purchase type and a $ amount for another), or change its rates frequently.
TrackRak scans Rakuten multiple times per day and displays the cashback value detected at the time of each scan for each store. While we aim to provide the most accurate and up-to-date data, the exact cashback you see on Rakuten may vary depending on your purchase details or account.
We recommend reviewing the full offer details on Rakuten before completing a purchase.
Rakuten offers two types of rewards:
- Cash Back: You earn a fixed amount of money back on your purchase
- Percentage Back: You earn a percentage of your purchase amount
When you create an alert on TrackRak, the system automatically uses the reward type that is detected for that store at the time of each scan.
Some stores may:
- Offer both cash and percentage rewards at the same time (depending on the purchase type), or
- Change their reward type or rate over time
Because TrackRak scans Rakuten multiple times per day, your alerts will use the reward type and value detected for that store at the time of each scan. This ensures your alerts continue to work as offers change, but may not include every available variation at once.
When you enter a store on the Track page, our Suggestion Box instantly appears with current and historical data to help you choose an appropriate alert level based on current and past reward trends.
Because TrackRak automatically scans Rakuten multiple times per day, we capture one active cashback value and reward type per store at the time of each scan.
This means:
- If multiple offer types are available, TrackRak will display one of the available values
- If cashback rates or types change (e.g., from 10% to 25%, or from a % to $ amount), TrackRak will reflect the most recently detected offer
- Not all variations or conditions may be shown at once

We monitor Rakuten continuously throughout the day and send alerts whenever your selected parameters are met. Rakuten cash back rates can change at any time — not just once per day. When our system detects a cash back offer that matches your preferences, you’ll receive a timely email or text letting you know it’s time to start shopping and saving.
Unlike other services, we don’t send repeat alerts for the same offer. We call this our Smart Alert™, designed to reduce “alert fatigue” while still keeping you informed. Here are the parameters for when an alert is triggered:

Threshold Alert: Alerts when the cash back meets or exceeds your set threshold.

Increase Alert: Alerts if the cash back increases from the last notified amount.

No Decrease Alert: You won’t get alerts for decreases, but if the rate increases again, you’ll be notified.
We aim to notify you at the most important times without overwhelming you.
If you're not receiving your alerts, after you have ensured that all parameters have been met, they might be going to your spam or junk folder. Check there first and mark our emails as "Not Spam" to ensure future messages reach your Inbox. If you still don’t receive alerts after checking your spam folder, please contact us for assistance.
Yes, you can manage your alert preferences and unsubscribe from alerts at any time through the My Account or Plans page on our website. As soon as you unsubscribe, you will lose all alerts that you previously set up. Keep in mind that you will still be charged for the full month, but your monthly plan will not renew once you unsubscribe.

Smart Charts™ show Rakuten’s historical rewards data in an interactive chart. You can choose preset ranges or select a custom date range to see exactly the data you care about. The number of days displayed depends on your plan: Free shows 21 days, Basic shows 180 days, and Premium/Annual shows up to 3 years*. What makes them “smart”? Just click any data point to automatically create an alert for that store!

The Daily Store Digest is an email sent to Premium and Annual members whenever Rakuten's store lineup changes. It includes newly added stores, returning stores, and stores that have been removed.
You'll only receive an email when there are actual changes to report, so it's normal if you don't get one every day.
